Amid Wolves’ tough fixture run, losing 1-0 to 10-man Arsenal can only be seen as a missed opportunity, especially when we’re in desperate need of points.
Arsenal had the better chances and probably deserved the win, but when facing one of the league’s best defenses, Sarabia—who was fortunate to start—should have scored early from Semedo’s precise cross.
Wolves struggled for energy in attack, with poor movement and a lack of runs behind Arsenal’s defense. This forced Wolves into aimless passing at the back, eventually leading to Sa making a mistake that put us in trouble.
Vitor Pereira’s decisions deserve scrutiny. It was clear Arsenal were reeling after the red card, and Gomes, who had already committed a couple of fouls, should’ve been substituted by the 60th minute. Yet again, Pereira waited too long to make attacking changes. Rodrigo Gomes’ directness and energy could have been vital, so giving him only 5-10 minutes was unforgivable.
A bright spot in the game was Agbadou, who was excellent in the air, fast on the ground, and sharp in tackles—he didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.
With the transfer window closing soon, Wolves face a critical period. As the song goes, “Back to the team, or sell the club.”

I read this comment after Saturday’s game, and it’s stayed with me all weekend. The reality is clear: relegation seems highly likely.
The club is in complete disarray, the result of seasons of neglect. In just five years, we’ve gone from competing in Europe to this mess, and it’s all down to Fosun and Jeff Shi.
This is what happens when you try to cut costs while your competitors strengthen—they leave you behind. Now clubs like Bournemouth, Forest, and Brentford have surpassed us. We’re now part of a group of five clubs that are much weaker than the rest.
It looks like Everton will survive, which leaves us, Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton battling to stay up. Southampton seem doomed, which means it’s down to the remaining three clubs to fight for survival. Whoever manages to stay up will have to recognize how lucky they were.
