Double Fabrizio Romano transfer update: Ex-Rangers + Leeds United ace’s shock move, Celtic exit deal done
With less than a week remaining in the transfer window, the rumour mill surrounding Rangers and Celtic is in full swing.
At Ibrox, the only move so far has been the loan signing of Rafael Fernandes from Ligue 1 side Lille, brought in to cover for injuries in defense, including to John Souttar.
Meanwhile, across the city at Celtic, it’s been a week of significant player movements.
Kyogo’s departure has left a gap in the attack, while Jota has returned to the club to a warm reception after just 18 months away, having previously moved to Al Ittihad. There’s also talk of a possible January transfer for Kieran Tierney.
Fabrizio Romano has provided updates on these developments, including news of a Celtic player’s departure and a former Rangers and Leeds United star potentially on the move.
Celtic’s Alex Valle, who joined on a season-long loan from Barcelona, will be leaving after just six months.
Romano reported that Valle has finalized a move to Serie A club Como, with a €6 million exit clause in his contract.
Valle did not feature for Celtic in their Champions League match against Aston Villa, and he confirmed his departure on Instagram, thanking the club for the opportunity and recalling his Champions League debut and first professional title win.
In another transfer update, Glen Kamara, who played a key role in Rangers’ 2021 Premiership title win before moving to Leeds United in 2023, is now with Rennes in Ligue 1.
Romano revealed that Kamara could be heading to Saudi Arabia, with Al Shabab in advanced talks to sign the midfielder.
