“Mathys Tel Says Heartfelt Goodbye to Bayern Munich – Is a Premier League Move to Forest or Tottenham Next?
Nottingham Forest are cutting it close as they look to strengthen their squad before the transfer deadline.
It’s been a quieter month for Nuno Espirito Santo. With the team currently sitting third in the Premier League, the need for new signings hasn’t been as pressing as in previous seasons.
However, owner Evangelos Marinakis is keen to add a forward. He’s determined not to let this opportunity to secure European football slip away, and new players are being pursued.
Matheus Cunha is one of Forest’s targets, but securing his signature won’t be easy. Wolves have set a hefty £70 million price tag on the striker for any club interested in this transfer window.
Forest are exploring other options as well, working hard behind the scenes, but the likelihood of landing one player in the final days of the window is shrinking.
Mathys Tel Bids Farewell to Bayern Munich Amid Forest and Tottenham Links

It was a surprise to see Mathys Tel in Bayern Munich’s starting lineup last night against Slovan Bratislava, especially with Bayern already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages.
Tel has previously received praise from Harry Kane, and he was linked to Forest earlier this month, with the club also showing interest during the summer window.
After the match at the Allianz Arena, Tel appeared to bid farewell to Bayern fans, suggesting a move to England is imminent, with the Premier League being his preferred destination.
Tel joined Bayern in 2022 from Rennes. Over 83 appearances, he has scored 16 goals and provided seven assists, but has struggled for consistent playing time in recent months.
Fabrizio Romano Gives Update on Mathys Tel’s Future Amid Forest Links
It seems Forest are facing stiff competition to sign Tel, with Tottenham recently entering the race. Chelsea and Manchester United are also reportedly interested.
Fabrizio Romano provided an update, stating on X: “The race for Mathys Tel is intensifying, with Premier League clubs pushing.
Tottenham is willing to invest in a permanent deal – their director was in Munich last night. Chelsea remains in the mix for a permanent deal, while Manchester United has inquired about a loan.”
Looking back, Tel would be an ideal signing for Forest. At just 19, he offers plenty of potential and could maintain strong resale value.
Forest could certainly use another forward before the window closes on Monday.
However, with the current competition for Tel, it seems unlikely he will be the one to join, as the club is focusing on other targets. It remains to be seen who will arrive before the deadline.
