Deal Done Imminent”- Tottenham have ‘virtually shaken hands’ on transfer – Contracts ready to be signed, need to convince player

Tottenham has reached an agreement with AC Milan for Fikayo Tomori, but now they face the challenge of convincing the defender to make the move.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs have settled on a €26.5 million deal for the centre-back. However, Tomori is reportedly reluctant to leave Milan, despite the agreement being in place.

With only 48 hours left to finalize the deal, there is growing pessimism surrounding the situation.

Tomori informed Milan this morning that he has no desire to join Tottenham, which has thrown a wrench into both clubs’ plans, presenting a significant hurdle for Milan as the transfer window nears its close.

Although Milan has already reached an agreement with Tottenham and even prepared the contracts, the move hinges on Tomori’s approval.

The defender is keen to stay at Milan and is expected to feature in the upcoming derby against Inter Milan on Sunday. His decision to reject a Premier League return is surprising, especially given his limited role this season.

While there’s still time for his stance to change, Gazzetta suggests that optimism is waning for now.
