Deal Done: Tottenham have FINALIZED a deal for the £55m star, with a six-year contract in place. The medical has been COMPLETED, and the France youth international is set to sign soon.

Tottenham Hotspur have finalized an agreement to sign Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich, according to David Ornstein.

The 19-year-old will join Spurs for the rest of the season, with an option to make the move permanent for £45.7m on a six-year contract.

Late on Deadline Day, Ornstein shared the news on X, stating: “Tottenham Hotspur reach total agreement to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. Deal for 19yo #FCBayern attacker loan until summer + #THFC option to buy at €55m on 6yr contract. Medical complete & France youth int’l poised to sign shortly.”

Tel’s future had been a hot topic on deadline day, with journalist Florian Plettenberg calling him an “unbelievable talent.” It now looks like Spurs have secured his services, as his medical has been completed and terms with Bayern Munich are settled.

Earlier, it seemed Tottenham had fallen out of the race for Tel when he turned down a permanent move to the club last week.

However, the teenager changed his stance once the loan deal was presented, even though Spurs have the option to make the deal permanent later on.

Although there are still some details to clarify regarding the terms of the agreement or Tel’s changing position on a full transfer, Tottenham fans will be thrilled that the club has secured the deal.

This not only ensures Tel’s presence for the remainder of the season but could also see him join permanently for the long term.
