Done Deal: Arsenal and Tottenham’s €25 Million Deadline Day Target Secures SHOCK Move
The forward is set to join a Premier League rival in the summer, despite interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been exploring options to strengthen their attacking depth during the January transfer window.
Arsenal have been without striker Gabriel Jesus, who sustained an ACL injury in early January that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke is also facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
Arsenal have been linked with several top strikers, including Ollie Watkins, for whom they saw a £60m bid rejected by Aston Villa. However, another striker previously associated with the Gunners is now set to move to a Premier League rival.
Stefanos Tzimas has agreed to join Brighton after being linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham. The 19-year-old Nuremberg forward has signed for Brighton in a deal reportedly worth around £20.8m, although he will remain with Nuremberg on loan for the rest of the season.
Tzimas has attracted significant Premier League interest, with reports suggesting Manchester United were keen on him earlier in the month.
He was also linked with Liverpool, but has opted for a move to the south coast instead. This season, Tzimas has impressed with 10 goals and one assist in 17 league appearances.
Upon signing, Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler expressed his excitement, stating: “Stefanos is an exceptional young talent, an out-and-out centre-forward with a natural ability to score goals.
We are thrilled to have signed him, and we look forward to working with him in the summer as he prepares for next season.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel appears to be off. Despite being linked with a move, reports from Sky Sports suggest that Arsenal will not make a late bid for Tel and will instead focus on other options.
Arsenal had previously been linked to Benjamin Sesko, but a summer move now seems more likely for the RB Salzburg forward.
Additionally, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, who had been a target for the Gunners, recently signed a new contract, further narrowing Arsenal’s options.
With a deal for Tel unlikely and Sesko and Cunha ruled out, Arsenal’s search for a striker continues, with Watkins still considered a top target—though Aston Villa are unlikely to let him go.
