“I want to tell Evertonians that….” The promise Carlos Alcaraz has already made to Everton fans after sealing deadline day transfer
Everton fans had to be patient on transfer deadline day, but they eventually secured their man.
Although they may feel some disappointment after bringing in only one player—Carlos Alcaraz—on the final day, the deal was completed after a tense wait.
Alcaraz was initially set to sign his contract in the morning, but Everton had to submit an extension to finalize the transfer.
Everton had hoped to sign two players during the winter window, but ultimately, only Alcaraz arrived.
David Moyes might have some concerns about the depth of his squad, particularly given the injury troubles Everton have faced this season.
However, the new Argentine midfielder has already made a promise that will surely lift the spirits of Everton supporters.
Carlos Alcaraz Makes Promising Statement to Everton Fans
Alcaraz underwent his medical over the weekend, marking the start of what turned out to be a prolonged transfer saga. His signing wasn’t confirmed until the early hours of the morning.
In an interview with the club’s media, Alcaraz expressed his excitement about joining Everton and his commitment to giving his best for the club. “I am very happy to join Everton, such a great club, with a very good fanbase.
I’m really looking forward to starting training with my teammates and meeting the fans at the stadium,” he said.
He continued, “I’m ready for any challenge with this beautiful club. That’s why I came and accepted the offer—to keep fighting for my dreams.
I want to tell the fans that whenever I wear this shirt, I will give my best, everything I have, to take Everton to the top, where they deserve to be.”
The 22-year-old was eager for this move, having informed Flamengo of his desire to join Everton. He’ll now return to Premier League football, with a full week of training ahead of Everton’s next match.
David Moyes Pleased with Alcaraz Signing
Throughout the window, Moyes expressed his wish to strengthen his squad for the remainder of the season. While Everton didn’t quite achieve all their transfer goals, Moyes was pleased with securing Alcaraz’s signing.
“We’re happy Carlos has agreed to join us on loan until the end of the season,” Moyes said. “We’ve been looking to add players to the squad to give us more depth, particularly after the recent injuries we’ve picked up.”
Alcaraz brings some Premier League experience from his previous time at Southampton before his brief move to Flamengo last summer.
Although he’s arrived on loan, it appears Everton have an option to make the transfer permanent, potentially securing Alcaraz for the long term.
