Moyes hinted that Alcaraz could make his debut, which he did when he came off the bench in the 65th minute.
Everton fans were likely pleased to see him in action, as Paul Merson shared his thoughts on the Argentine’s performance during his debut on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.

The 22-year-old has already made an impression at Everton, notably by breaking Sean Dyche’s rule and wearing a snood. His confident attitude was evident in his debut performance, as just seven minutes after coming on, Alcaraz struck the post with a free kick.
That moment could have been the perfect start for the midfielder. Merson offered his assessment after seeing Alcaraz in action.
“In the first couple of minutes since he’s come on, Alcaraz has looked very, very good,” Merson commented.
