Everton had a quiet January transfer window, with their only addition being Carlos Alcaraz, who arrived on an initial loan from Brazilian club Flamengo.
David Moyes was also interested in signing a striker, but due to PSR restrictions, the club’s options were limited.
However, come summer, Everton are expected to have a larger budget at their disposal once the PSR concerns are lifted.
This could lead them to rekindle their interest in Rangers striker Hamza Igamane, who is having a standout season in British football.
Everton had shown serious interest in Igamane just before the winter window closed, but his £25m price tag ultimately blocked a potential move.
Now, Igamane has addressed speculation about his future amid interest from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, stating that he is happy at Rangers.
In an interview with Onze Mondial, the Moroccan forward shared, “I am happy in Scotland. I spend a lot of time at home outside of training and matches.
I have everything I need, I lack nothing. I thank the Rangers management for providing me with such conditions. I just have to focus on football and my performances on the pitch.
It doesn’t feel that different from Morocco because the supporters give me a lot of love.

With Igamane settled in Scotland and Rangers eager to keep their £25m asset, Everton may struggle to secure his signature this summer.
The Toffees would have to break Scottish football’s transfer record to sign him, surpassing the £24m fee Celtic received for Matt O’Riley.
Therefore, it looks like a complicated deal, and Everton may look at other, more attainable striking options.
