JUST IN; Ange Postecoglou has made it a top priority for Tottenham to sign the £68m standout striker in the summer as the Australian manager is keen on reinforcing his attack ahead of next season

Ange Postecoglou has made it a priority for Tottenham to sign Eberechi Eze in the summer, despite interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal.

According to Graeme Bailey’s report on TBR Football, the Spurs manager is eager to strengthen his attack ahead of next season and sees the Crystal Palace star as an ideal replacement for Son Heung-min.

Since joining Crystal Palace in 2020, Eze has only improved, establishing himself as one of the top attacking players in the Premier League.

Although there was significant interest in him last summer, the 26-year-old opted to remain at Selhurst Park for another year.

However, he is expected to move on next season, as the English international feels ready for the next step in his career.

Crystal Palace is aware of the growing interest and is likely to direct potential suitors to his release clause, which exceeds £60 million.

Tottenham has long been interested in Eze, and both the club and Postecoglou see him as their top target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

With the possibility of parting ways with Son Heung-min, Spurs believe Eze could be a perfect replacement. While Eze favors playing as a no. 10, he is also capable of playing on either wing, providing tactical flexibility.

Even if Son remains for another season, Eze would be a valuable addition to the squad, and Tottenham is determined to secure his signature.

However, Spurs face competition from Liverpool and Arsenal. The Reds are preparing for life without Mohamed Salah, and Eze’s versatility and Premier League experience make him a strong candidate for their plans. Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his left flank and find a backup for Martin Ødegaard, and Eze could provide a solution to both needs.
