Just Now; Wilson Isidor has already given his stance on leaving Sunderland for Leeds United

Leeds United fans will be intrigued by the possibility of signing Wilson Isidor from Sunderland, especially after their 2-1 victory at Elland Road. The move would certainly add insult to injury for the Black Cats.

While Daniel Farke’s full attention is now on the crucial upcoming Championship clash with Sheffield United, the Sunderland win will still be on his mind.

Farke’s substitutions proved to be brilliant in the victory, though they left it late. Isidor scored 32 minutes in after overpowering Ethan Ampadu, and the 49ers may have been impressed with what they saw.

Leeds have reportedly added Isidor to their list of potential signings, which could be a sensational move for the Frenchman. However, the Sunderland star has already weighed in on the matter.

Wilson Isidor’s Stance on a Potential Move to Leeds United

It seems unlikely that Isidor would join a direct promotion rival, but Leeds’ win has given them a significant boost in the promotion race, while Sunderland has taken a step back.

Whether this will affect Isidor’s future with Sunderland remains to be seen.

The 24-year-old, currently on loan, has an option to make the move permanent.

After scoring in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Derby County in October, Isidor made his intentions clear during a post-match interview: “I am on loan but with an optional buy. But no, for me, I want to continue with Sunderland and write the club into my career and my history.”

Leeds Already Have Players Like Isidor in Their Squad

Although Isidor would certainly strengthen Leeds, his addition wouldn’t be a major disruption to Farke’s plans.

The Leeds manager sought a striker in January, but someone with Isidor’s profile might not be exactly what he’s after.

Leeds already have players like Wilfried Gnonto and Largie Ramazani, both quick attackers who create problems for defenders—traits that Isidor shares with his Sunderland counterpart.

Should Leeds achieve promotion, they would likely look to raise their standards and aim for a higher-profile signing than Isidor.
