Just Now; Rangers Set to SHOCKINGLY SACK Philippe Clement After Bombshell 49ers Admission at Ibrox

Rangers may part ways with Philippe Clement following a surprising revelation about the San Francisco 49ers.

Ibrox could soon see the arrival of the 49ers Enterprises as advanced negotiations are underway regarding a possible takeover of the club, according to the Daily Record.

The American group, which also owns Leeds United, is discussing a multi-million-pound deal to take control of the Light Blues.

As a result, Clement, who has faced criticism for his underwhelming performance at Rangers this season, could lose his job in the coming months.

49ers Enterprises to Replace Philippe Clement at Rangers

Andy Devlin predicts that Clement is likely to be dismissed by 49ers Enterprises once the takeover is finalized.

The Scottish Sun journalist would be surprised if the Belgian manager remains in charge beyond this season.

Devlin expects Clement to stay until the end of the campaign, but the former Monaco boss is anticipated to be fired next summer.

Speaking on The Scottish Sun SPORT (20 February), Devlin said: “I would be amazed if [Clement] is still the Rangers manager after the summer. The consortium will want their own ideas and people in charge. If they don’t see Clement, and I don’t think they do, as the right person to take the club forward, they won’t trust him with the summer budget.”

“Clement will remain until the end of the season. Beyond that, I’d be shocked if he’s still the manager.”

Philippe Clement’s Inevitable Departure

Clement’s exit from Ibrox now seems almost certain after a season of inconsistent performances from Rangers.

Although some recent strong results had temporarily eased concerns about his future, the shock defeat to Queen’s Park has significantly hurt his position.

Despite the humiliating loss in the Scottish Cup, Clement has surprisingly survived, but it appears Patrick Stewart still supports him for now.

With Rangers eliminated from domestic cup competitions and trailing Celtic by 13 points in the Premiership, Clement’s hopes for silverware this season rest solely on the Europa League.

However, it would take an extraordinary effort for Rangers to win the title at San Mames.

It’s possible that Stewart and the club’s leadership are waiting for Rangers’ elimination from Europe before finally parting ways with Clement.

If the 49ers complete their takeover, the Ibrox faithful will likely expect them to bring in a proven manager to replace Clement. It would be quite unexpected if the new owners continued to back the former Monaco boss.
