“Shocking Reason Why Carlos Alcaraz Did Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siuuu’ Celebration – Even Though He Calls Messi the Best

Everton loanee Carlos Alcaraz has shared the reason behind his recent celebration mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siuuu’ move, despite being a long-time fan of Lionel Messi.

What Happened?
The Argentine midfielder, who previously made 48 appearances for Southampton, returned to English football during the winter transfer window.

He is set to spend the remainder of the season at Goodison Park, with a potential permanent move from Flamengo in the summer.

The Bigger Picture
Alcaraz has been working hard to impress the Toffees, marking his goal-scoring debut with a crucial strike against Crystal Palace.

Despite his strong admiration for Messi, the 22-year-old chose to channel Ronaldo after scoring.

What Carlos Alcaraz Said
When asked why he performed the iconic ‘Siuuu’ celebration after scoring against Palace, Alcaraz explained: “I’ve always liked Cristiano, even though I’m Argentinian. Of course, Messi is the best player in the world, no question about it.

But I’ve always admired Cristiano for his consistency, dedication, hard work, and the way he’s evolved his game over the years to stay at the highest level. That celebration was simply because I like him so much, I’ve always admired him.”

Did You Know?
Before facing Crystal Palace, Alcaraz was involved in a thrilling derby against Liverpool, which featured four goals, post-match red cards, and plenty of drama. Reflecting on the intense match, Alcaraz commented: “It was a crazy derby, a wild game. We were ahead, then ended up with a draw, so it was a really exciting match. For it to be my first derby in this shirt, I thoroughly enjoyed it—it was a fantastic experience.”

What’s Next?
Alcaraz could face one of Ronaldo’s former teams next, as Everton – managed by ex-Manchester United boss David Moyes – prepare to host Manchester United this Saturday.
