I’m an ex-Premier League manager”- Ex-Premier League Manager Claims Leeds Players Are Good Enough for Man Utd – Here’s Why.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has made a bold statement regarding the quality of Leeds United’s squad.
While there has been plenty of discussion about the overall strength of the Championship this season, particularly outside the top four, one thing remains clear: Leeds United is a standout team at the top of the table.
Although Leeds lost key players like Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville, and Archie Gray in the summer, manager Daniel Farke still has a squad full of talent.
This is also true for other top four clubs such as Burnley, Sheffield United, and Sunderland, who also possess some impressive players.
But how talented is Leeds, really? According to Sherwood, many of their players are good enough to play for Manchester United.
Ahead of Monday’s big top-two clash between Sheffield United and Leeds, Sherwood highlighted the quality of Leeds’ squad, comparing them to the struggling Manchester United team.
“We’ve just talked about Man United,” Sherwood said on Sky Sports. “Based on what we’ve seen, some of these Leeds players could easily play for Man United.
“They’re strong at the back, they push forward confidently – they have the complete package, especially in the Championship. If they win at Sheffield United, they’ll take the league title easily and cruise to the finish line.”
