Leeds United have encountered an unexpected setback in their preparations for Saturday’s home clash with West Brom, as their team coach has broken down.
The Whites are set to face Albion at Elland Road on 1 March for an early Championship kick-off, hoping to extend their impressive unbeaten run under Daniel Farke.
However, Tony Mowbray’s side, currently sitting fifth in the Championship, will provide a tough challenge, with both teams vying for promotion back to the Premier League.

A photo of the broken-down coach was shared on social media by LUFC Fan Zone, showing the drivers trying to resolve the issue.
With the match set to kick off at 12:30pm, this is the last thing Farke would have wanted ahead of such an important game.

Leeds have been in excellent form under Farke, sitting five points clear at the top of the Championship – exactly where they hoped to be. But there’s still a long way to go, and the Whites can’t afford to get complacent at this stage of the season.

Graham Smyth later confirmed on X that despite the transport issue, a replacement coach is expected to get the team to Elland Road in time for the match.
As a result, the setback should have little impact on Leeds’ preparations for the game.
With the issue resolved, it’s now down to the players to focus and ensure they’re in the right mindset for what is another crucial match in their push for Premier League football.
Leeds have shown resilience all season, and it will take more than a coach breakdown to throw them off course against West Brom.
