Idrissa Gueye was the standout performer for Everton as they drew 1-1 with Wolves in an away clash that saw both teams settle for a point.
Everton were the underdogs heading into the match, but they made a strong start, initially easing concerns. Jack Harrison put the Toffees ahead, but Wolves responded through Marshall Munetsi just five minutes before halftime.
Despite an exciting first 45 minutes, the second half lacked the same intensity, and both sides ended up sharing the spoils.

Everton’s Missed Opportunity for Three Points
Jordan Pickford – 6
Pickford couldn’t do much about Wolves’ goal. His distribution was excellent, and he remained solid whenever called into action.
Jake O’Brien – 6
A solid defensive performance from O’Brien, though he was again wasteful in possession, often giving the ball away cheaply.
James Tarkowski – 7
Tarkowski dealt well with everything thrown at him, offering a calming influence in possession. He was dominant in the air and kept Wolves from making much progress.
Jarrad Branthwaite – 5
Branthwaite was mostly solid, winning the majority of his duels, but his error led to the equalizing goal. That mistake overshadowed his performance.
Vitalii Mykolenko – 6
Mykolenko didn’t make much of an impact going forward, but his defensive work when called upon was solid.
Idrissa Gueye – 8
Gueye was his usual tidy self in midfield, providing energy and doing his job effectively. He was one of Everton’s best players.
James Garner – 5 (for Young 90+1′)
Garner struggled to influence the game. He didn’t win many defensive duels and had little impact going forward.
Moyes’ Mistake with Doucoure
Abdoulaye Doucoure – 4 (for Alcaraz 63′)
Moyes’ decision to bring Doucoure on in place of Alcaraz didn’t work. Doucoure failed to make an impact, and the game passed him by.
Jack Harrison – 7
Harrison scored his first goal for Everton, easing the pressure on him. His direct style of play caused problems for Wolves’ defense.
Jesper Lindstrom – 7 (for Iroegbunam 63′)
Lindstrom wasn’t heavily involved, but when he was, he caused issues. He also provided the assist for Harrison’s goal.
Beto – 3
After a strong run of form, Beto had a poor game. He failed to hold up the ball and squandered two great chances—one early on and another in the final 20 minutes.

Carlos Alcaraz – 6
Alcaraz made an immediate impact, pushing Everton forward, but he had little time to influence the game. He did set up a great chance for Beto, which was wasted.
