Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a domestic Treble, and with his side now just five wins away from completing it, his confidence is unshaken after their 2-0 Scottish Cup quarter-final victory over Hibs.
The win, achieved with late goals from Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah, secured Celtic’s place in the semi-final draw and kept their hopes of a sixth Treble in nine years alive.
Rodgers, who has already delivered two domestic clean sweeps during his time at Celtic, knows that achieving such success requires more than just talent.
He insists it’s also about focus, professionalism, and passion. His current squad, he believes, has all those qualities in abundance, especially after they handled Hibs—a team unbeaten in 15 matches—by staying patient and executing their game plan.

Despite a brief lull in the second half when Celtic’s passing game faltered, Rodgers praised his team’s overall performance. “We were really good overall, with compactness and control. The keeper made some excellent saves, but we deserved the win,” he said.
Celtic’s attacking prowess has been evident, with goals coming from all over the pitch. Against Hibs, Maeda scored his 27th goal of the season, while Idah sealed the victory after coming on as a substitute.
Rodgers was quick to praise both players: “Daizen’s anticipation for his goal was incredible, and Adam brings the physicality we need. They’re doing exactly what they’re paid to do.”
Rodgers was also calm about the upcoming selection headache. “There’s no headache,” he said. “I’ll pick the best team, knowing that others will come on and make an impact when needed.”
Looking ahead to next week’s derby against Rangers, Rodgers is excited by the prospect of a fiery atmosphere at Celtic Park, with around 2,500 Rangers supporters set to make the short trip across Glasgow.
“The atmosphere was electric today, and next week will be no different. It’s going to be a big game, and we’re ready for it,” he added.
Rodgers also praised both Celtic’s and Hibs’ supporters, acknowledging the professionalism, passion, and consistency his team has shown all season. “Our supporters can be very proud of what the team has achieved this season. We’ve got a lot to look forward to.”
