"Oh No, what a BLOW, from regular to Bench-Warmer"- Ex-Wolves Star's Dramatic Fall: Dropped to the Bench After Disappointing Move

“Oh No, what a BLOW, from regular to Bench-Warmer”- Ex-Wolves Star’s Dramatic Fall: Dropped to the Bench After Disappointing Move

During the most recent transfer window, Mario Lemina moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Galatasaray after facing challenges at his former Premier League club.

The central midfielder struggled, particularly under former manager Gary O’Neil, which led to his move to Istanbul before the transfer deadline.

A return to a former club was expected to reignite his career, but the 31-year-old has yet to make a significant impact since his arrival in Turkey.

According to Fotomac, Lemina is now at risk of being dropped ahead of Galatasaray’s upcoming Super Lig match.

The report points out that since his inclusion in the team, the league leaders have faced difficulties in attack, with Lemina’s partnership with Gabriel Sara and Lucas Torreria in midfield failing to produce the desired results.

Although Galatasaray won their recent match against Alanyaspor, Lemina is expected to be relegated to the bench when they face the same opponents in Istanbul on Friday.

Manager Okan Buruk is reportedly concerned about Lemina’s contribution in the last match and is considering removing him from the starting lineup.

After his struggles at Wolves, Lemina’s move to Turkey was seen as an opportunity for a fresh start, but he’ll need to improve quickly to avoid further setbacks.
