“I have already been told that….”- James Tarkowski Drops Bombshell on Saudi Arabia Move as His Everton Contract Nears Expiry

Everton are bracing for a busy summer with a number of players potentially leaving the club.

With the Friedkin Group now settling into life on Merseyside, the Toffees are preparing for what could be one of their most crucial transfer windows in recent years.

David Moyes will be hoping to build on the relative success he has brought to the club since his return.

The club plans to offer new contracts to several key players in the coming weeks, including Jarrad Branthwaite, who is expected to be rewarded for his strong performances in defense.

However, one of his defensive partners, James Tarkowski, has spoken about the possibility of a future move to Saudi Arabia.

James Tarkowski Opens Up About Potential Everton Exit for Saudi Arabia

Moyes has praised James Tarkowski as a key leader in Everton’s defense, especially with club captain Seamus Coleman sidelined due to injury. Tarkowski has been a consistent presence in the backline under both Sean Dyche and Moyes.

At 32, Tarkowski has addressed the rumors linking him with a potential move to Saudi Arabia, stating,

“I have already been told I am not allowed to go. But there is nothing better than playing in the Premier League. Why would you want to go anywhere else really?”

The defender also expressed admiration for young Jake O’Brien, whose performances could potentially make him Tarkowski’s long-term successor. However, for now, it seems Tarkowski will remain at Everton for at least the upcoming season at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton’s Upcoming Contract Decisions for Tarkowski and Others

This summer, Everton face key decisions regarding a number of players whose contracts are expiring. Tarkowski is one of the players who will need to be addressed, as he is set to become a free agent next summer.

Additionally, Everton are eager to offer a new deal to Idrissa Gana Gueye, despite the midfielder being 35 years old. Age won’t be a determining factor, but it will be interesting to see if the two sides can agree on terms.

The Friedkin Group has made it clear they won’t break the club’s wage structure for Branthwaite, meaning the defender will likely earn the same as Tarkowski under his new contract.
