“QPR Boss Reveals Shocking ‘Weakness’ Plan to Exploit Leeds United – You Won’t Believe His Unforgettable Memory
QPR manager Marti Cifuentes has shared his thoughts on Daniel Farke’s Leeds United ahead of their Championship clash.
Cifuentes will never forget QPR’s 4-0 thrashing of Leeds at Loftus Road in 2024, which effectively ended Leeds’ automatic promotion hopes and secured QPR’s Championship status.
However, the QPR boss has warned his side to expect a tough challenge, with Leeds now one of the league’s top teams.
“While the memory of last season’s win over Leeds will always stay with us, the most important game is always the next one,” Cifuentes said in his matchday programme notes. “We need to focus on the present and recognize that Leeds will come here in top form. The table doesn’t lie; they’re a quality side with a quality manager.
They’ve been the best team in the league so far, steady and full of players who can make a difference all over the pitch.
We hope for an exciting match between two teams that aim to play attacking football for their fans.”
However, Cifuentes isn’t blind to Leeds’ strengths and insists that QPR must focus on exploiting their weaknesses.
“We analyze their strengths, but it’s crucial to focus on their weaknesses, because every team has them,” he explained.
“We’ve identified areas we can take advantage of and will look for opportunities to exploit them. They’re doing really well, but we must remember we’re capable of competing with anyone when we play at our best.”
Meanwhile, Leeds boss Daniel Farke isn’t concerned with QPR’s recent struggles but is wary of their potential to cause problems at Loftus Road.
“It’s always a tough task against QPR, especially at home,” Farke said. “They’ve shown they can make life difficult for teams, and although they lost their last home match by a narrow margin, they’ve had excellent results before that, including a 4-0 win.
We know QPR are a dangerous side at Loftus Road, so we have to be fully prepared to take on the challenge.”
Leeds go into the match sitting at the top of the Championship after a 2-0 victory over Millwall on Wednesday, with the chance to extend their lead to five points over second-placed Sheffield United and seven points ahead of third-placed Burnley. Meanwhile, Burnley will face Swansea City later today, while Sheffield United take on Sheffield Wednesday in a Sunday lunchtime derby.
