“How Greedy”- Junior Firpo aims ‘greedy’ comment at Leeds teammate after what happened v QPR
Junior Firpo didn’t hide his frustration after Leeds United were held to a 2-2 draw with QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Daniel Farke’s side dropped more points in the Premier League promotion battle on March 15, failing to beat a QPR team sitting in 15th place and on a four-game losing streak prior to the match.
However, Leeds will be relieved to have secured a point, especially after having to fight back from a two-goal deficit.
An own goal from Morgan Fox and a strike from Jayden Bogle helped them salvage a draw.
The result saw Sheffield United close the gap on Leeds, who now only lead the Championship table on goal difference.
Firpo responds to Bogle’s Instagram post after his goal at QPR
Despite the draw, Bogle was in good spirits after scoring for Leeds at QPR and took to social media to share his excitement.
The right-back also encouraged Leeds fans to keep the faith, urging them to push for promotion after the international break.
“Final push after the break,” Bogle wrote on Instagram (March 15), accompanied by blue and yellow heart emojis.
Firpo was among those who commented on the 24-year-old’s post, seemingly teasing Bogle for his “greed” for goals.
“How greedy,” the former Barcelona player wrote, adding a fire emoji, while teammate Joel Piroe also joined in with a comment.
Former Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie also sent his regards to Bogle.
Leeds’ Promotion Push Under Threat
Leeds have seen their lead cut by Sheffield United, dropping seven points in their last five Championship matches.
Burnley, only two points behind, are also lurking as a threat.
With just seven games left in the season, the race for automatic promotion is sure to go down to the wire.
Despite recent slip-ups, Farke and his team remain hopeful of securing a return to the Premier League, having sat atop the table since before the New Year.
