"Leicester City’s Board Revealed as the 'Biggest' Problem After Devastating Man Utd Defeat

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City is facing the threat of relegation from the Premier League.

The club’s recruitment since their return to the top flight has come under heavy criticism.

Following a 3-0 loss to Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, the Foxes now find themselves nine points from safety with just nine matches remaining. Their defeat also set an unwanted record, making them the first team in Premier League history to lose seven consecutive home games without scoring.

On Match of the Day 2, pundit Troy Deeney discussed the club’s plight: “It’s looking bleak. I’ve been in relegation battles and when you look at those games—Wolves, Palace, Fulham, Brentford—you have to score in those situations. Those are the matches you think, ‘We can get something from here.’

“Losing to Man United, Arsenal, and Man City is one thing, but not scoring in seven games? It’s bad. They’re conceding plenty, but can’t find the back of the net themselves.

“Right now, whether it’s Van Nistelrooy, the board, or the team, something isn’t clicking. As a club, everything seems to be going wrong.

“They really need to take a hard look at what direction they want to take over the next few weeks and get their recruitment right in the summer. For me, their recruitment has been all over the place.”
