The winter transfer window has closed, and for now, Alexander Isak remains at Newcastle United.
While there was little speculation surrounding a move in January, reports indicate that several clubs, including PSG, could make another attempt to sign him this summer.
RMC Sport previously claimed that PSG was ready to offer Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio in a swap deal to secure Isak’s services.
Liverpool has also been linked with the Swedish striker. Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that the Reds had already initiated discussions with Isak’s representatives.
Liverpool is said to be preparing a significant offer and is even willing to break from their usual transfer strategy to bring the 25-year-old forward to Anfield.
Newcastle is reportedly holding firm with a €180 million (£150 million) asking price for Isak, a sum that would make him Liverpool’s record signing, eclipsing the £85 million paid for Darwin Nunez in 2022.

According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle United is eager to keep hold of Isak but is monitoring several striker options as Liverpool intensifies its pursuit of the Swedish forward.
Furthermore, Liverpool has reportedly made Isak their “top target” for the summer, particularly amid ongoing uncertainty over Darwin Nunez’s future at the club.
In preparation for a potential departure, Eddie Howe’s side is considering backup options, with TEAMtalk revealing that Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is on their radar.
Liverpool is also reportedly eyeing Delap as a potential replacement for Nunez.
