Just when you think you’ve seen it all online, something absolutely shocking has popped up on the official Liverpool FC website regarding Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
I am truly stunned.
What on earth is going on at Liverpool FC?
How could they possibly think this is okay?
I was scrolling through my Newcastle United feed when I came across this headline from the official Liverpool FC site:

We’re all used to seeing wild headlines that we immediately dismiss as clickbait from unreliable media outlets, but this is from the OFFICIAL Liverpool FC website — their own official platform.
I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. Liverpool has now officially stated they’ve been in contact with Newcastle United about signing Alexander Isak.

At first, I was just gutted, but then it turned to pure anger. What on earth are Liverpool FC playing at?
They can’t have it both ways. They can’t publish a headline like that, suggesting they’ve made contact, and then, in the fine print, say, “Oh, this is just what the Liverpool Echo is saying.” It’s completely misleading.
The headline on the OFFICIAL Liverpool FC website clearly states that Liverpool has made contact about signing Isak. That’s a factual claim. Liverpool FC knows whether or not that is true.
Have they reached out to Newcastle? I’m pretty sure they haven’t, but this seems like a deliberate attempt to unsettle Alexander Isak.
The club’s so-called “get out clause” is the line: ‘It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club.’
This is beyond laughable. Why is Liverpool FC even publishing this nonsense? There’s only one reason: to cause a stir and try to unsettle Isak — and it’s dirty tactics, plain and simple.
It’s disgraceful that Liverpool FC is pushing out headlines like this. Are they really so desperate that any baseless gossip from the media is fair game for their official website? Do they have no standards?
And to do this just two days after Newcastle dominated them on the pitch and deservedly won the Carabao Cup, with Liverpool clearly second-best? It feels like a petty, underhanded attempt to retaliate — especially after Isak’s brilliant performance, scoring the match-winning goal!
