“Did Crystal Palace deserves 3-0 win against Fulham?”- Furious Fulham boss Marco  Silva delivered honest verdict amid shameful Palace defeat

Marco Silva believes Adam Wharton should have been sent off during Fulham’s 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final loss to Crystal Palace.

The England midfielder, already on a yellow card for a foul on Willian, seemed to kick out at Rodrigo Muniz and then elbow him in the back just minutes later.

Former Palace defender Joachim Andersen appealed to the referee, arguing Wharton should have received a red card, but Darren England did not penalize the incident.

Since VAR can only review potential straight red cards, it could not assess whether the challenge warranted a second yellow. Wharton remained on the pitch as Palace secured a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage, advancing to the FA Cup semi-finals.

“If you ask me, it should have been a second yellow card,” Silva said.

“Rodrigo was there, the ball wasn’t, and if you kick an opponent, it’s a second yellow. VAR can’t overturn it, but with eight eyes from the fourth officials, they should have seen it.”

Silva added: “It should have had a major impact on the game. The referees didn’t see it, and unfortunately, we’re becoming accustomed to these situations.”

“It’s frustrating for us and our fans. But, in my view, it should be a bigger frustration for the fourth officials, as they failed to spot it.”
