Wolves are keen on signing the ‘insane’ 33-goal/assist star, who is open to a move.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly targeting Lyon forward Georges Mikautadze for a potential summer move, as per CaughtOffside.
Wolves are said to be one of several Premier League clubs interested in the 24-year-old, with West Ham United and Crystal Palace also in the race.
With uncertainty surrounding Matheus Cunha’s long-term future at Molineux, the club is expected to pursue a new striker this summer. Despite signing a contract extension in January, Cunha remains a target for several Premier League teams and is likely to leave at the end of the season.
CaughtOffside reports that while Mikautadze has expressed a strong interest in joining West Ham, he could also be swayed by offers from other Premier League clubs, including Wolves and Crystal Palace. The prospect of playing alongside Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen at West Ham is said to be particularly appealing to the forward.
Mikautadze, who moved to Lyon from Metz last summer, has been in excellent form this season, netting 14 goals and providing 8 assists in just 17 starts across all competitions. Despite being primarily used as a backup to former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette, Mikautadze has impressed, with 21 of his 38 appearances coming as a substitute.
Wolves are on track to avoid relegation this season under manager Vitor Pereira, currently sitting nine points clear of the drop zone with nine games left to play.
The Molineux side will return to Premier League action on Tuesday, hosting West Ham at home.
