Former Sunderland Player Antoine Semenyo Could Seal £75m Transfer
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has become a hotspot for top footballing talent, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the charge at Al-Nassr, reportedly earning a staggering £168 million annually.
Now, former Sunderland loan player Antoine Semenyo could be set to join him.
According to emerging reports from GIVEMESPORT, Al-Nassr is reportedly targeting a handful of Premier League players, including West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, and Bournemouth’s Semenyo.
The Ghanaian international spent time on loan at Sunderland during the 2019/20 League One season but failed to score in seven appearances.
After his loan spell, Semenyo earned a £10 million move to Bournemouth in 2023, where he has since scored 16 goals and provided 7 assists in 73 games.
GIVEMESPORT suggests that Al-Nassr is willing to pay around £75 million for the player, a figure Bournemouth may be willing to accept.
Sunderland’s Rising Star: Romaine Mundle
Sunderland is also nurturing its own rising star. While players like Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham are currently making waves, Romaine Mundle, a former Spurs player who joined from Standard Liege in a £2 million deal in January 2023, is steadily becoming a top performer in the Championship.
