Leeds United are reportedly prepared to sell a key player under Daniel Farke, who the manager has previously referred to as the “best.”

Leeds had another action-packed evening in the Championship on Tuesday, reclaiming the top spot with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Dan James netted the winning goal early on, while Burnley were held to a draw by Derby County, and Sheffield United suffered a home defeat to Millwall.
Karl Darlow made his second start for Leeds, keeping a clean sheet in the league, after stepping in for Illan Meslier.
Meslier, who had been a regular under Farke’s leadership, was dropped following a series of mistakes against Swansea City in late March.
Reflecting on the decision, Farke, who had previously called Meslier the “best in the league,” said: “Obviously, he was involved in both Swansea goals, which was disappointing because after his penalty save, he was on his way to being man of the match.
It was clear that we had to make a decision, and we needed to do it early in the week so that the players had clarity. Karl [Darlow] needed time to prepare.
We had an open and honest conversation. Of course, Illan was disappointed not to start, but he took it professionally and was mostly disappointed about the Swansea game.”
Leeds have also been linked with goalkeepers such as Chelsea’s Djordje Petrovic, Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale, and even Newcastle United’s Nick Pope.
It appears the club is ready to sell their current second-choice keeper, Meslier.
Leeds Set to Sell Illan Meslier and Are Already Seeking a Replacement
According to Football Insider, former scout Mick Brown has revealed that Leeds are ready to sell Meslier this summer and are already working on finding a replacement.
“He isn’t part of their long-term plans,” Brown stated. “From what I hear, Leeds will listen to offers for him this summer.
He’s been making mistakes throughout the season, and it’s been costly.
At some point, the manager has to tell him it’s not good enough. If you look at successful teams, they all have top-class goalkeepers, from Liverpool and Manchester City in the past to Burnley at the moment.
“So, Leeds are looking to raise money from his sale, which will go toward signing a new goalkeeper. They’ve already begun identifying potential replacements and will know who might be available.”
