Leeds United are reportedly exploring a summer swoop for highly-rated Premier League forward Evan Ferguson, as the club begins to plan for life back in the top flight.

Leeds aren’t alone in their interest. Everton, who are preparing for life without Dominic Calvert-Lewin when his contract expires this summer, have also been tracking Ferguson. The Toffees reportedly made a move for the 20-year-old in January before he joined West Ham on loan.
Ferguson has struggled to make an impact at West Ham, failing to score in six appearances—only one of which was a start. As a result, a permanent move to the London club appears unlikely.
Despite his recent challenges, Ferguson remains highly regarded. Although Brighton once valued him at around £100 million, ongoing injuries have hampered his progress, and the current asking price is said to be closer to £45 million. That drop in valuation could make him a more accessible target for clubs like Leeds and Everton.
Ferguson Open to a Move – But Would He Join Leeds?
Reports suggest Ferguson would be open to a move to Everton in search of regular playing time, although it’s unclear whether he would feel the same about joining a newly promoted Leeds side. Still, Leeds are expected to be keeping tabs on multiple striker options, especially players open to leaving their current clubs.
The January pursuit of Cameron Archer indicated a clear desire to bring in a top-class No.9. With Patrick Bamford turning 32 later this year and both Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph untested at Premier League level, adding firepower up front will be a priority.
Evan Ferguson’s Recent Form and Career So Far
The 2024/25 campaign has been a tough one for Ferguson. Limited to just one goal in the first half of the season at Brighton, he’s struggled with injuries and has yet to find the net since his loan switch to West Ham.
