“Massive Blow”- Leeds United confirm major doubts on Friday night games as STAR man could miss Oxford United clash
Leeds United Sweat Over Star Man Ahead of Oxford Clash as Promotion Race Heats Up

Leeds United wrapped up the weekend on a high, taking a major step closer to Premier League promotion. With just four games left, Daniel Farke’s side now controls their own destiny in the race for a top-flight return.
Saturday’s win over Preston, combined with Sheffield United’s shock defeat to bottom-placed Plymouth, gave Leeds a significant advantage in the automatic promotion chase. First-half goals from Manor Solomon and Jayden Bogle sealed a comfortable victory.
According to Opta’s supercomputer, Leeds are now favourites to win the Championship title.
Injury Doubt Casts Shadow Over Oxford United Fixture
Leeds turn their attention to Friday night’s clash with Oxford United, who earned a crucial win over the weekend to move six points clear of the relegation zone. Managed by Gary Rowett, the U’s will be fighting for survival when they visit Elland Road.
However, Leeds may be without key winger Dan James for that game. Manager Daniel Farke provided an injury update, saying:
“It will definitely be a tight race for him [Dan James] and Joe Rothwell for the Easter weekend at the moment. Perhaps, even a little bit more realistic that they will be available for after the Easter weekend.”
James picked up the injury during the win over Middlesbrough and missed the Preston game. With limited recovery time, he remains a major doubt for Friday’s match.

James Has Been Key for Leeds This Season
The Welsh international has played a pivotal role in Leeds’ attack this season, contributing significantly in both goals and assists—far more than last season.
Even at less than full fitness, James’ presence could be vital during the final stretch of the promotion campaign. Leeds will be eager to have him back in action as soon as possible.
