“Richarlison Goes Full Savage After Harvey Elliott’s Everton Taunt – You Won’t Believe His Response
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott had a brief clash with Tottenham’s Richarlison towards the end of the Reds’ 5-1 victory over Spurs at Anfield on Sunday, but the former Everton forward quickly fired back.
The commanding win secured Liverpool’s Premier League title, sparking celebrations at Anfield as the team marked their 20th top-flight championship.
The atmosphere was electric throughout the match, with the Liverpool players displaying high spirits and a dominant performance as they set up for their title celebrations.
Elliott, in particular, was full of energy in the final stages. The 22-year-old had come on in the 76th minute, replacing Luis Diaz, and despite his limited time on the pitch, made an impact as Liverpool closed out the match.
In the dying moments, Elliott got into a heated exchange with Richarlison after the Tottenham striker grabbed him during a tussle.
Elliott responded by shoving Richarlison and the two exchanged words before referee Thomas Bramall stepped in to separate them.
Following the scuffle, Elliott made a hand gesture, forming a “three” and “zero” with his fingers.
At first, the meaning behind Elliott’s gesture was unclear, but it’s now understood that he was mocking the number of years Everton have gone without a trophy, taking a cheeky jab at Richarlison, who played for the Toffees from 2018 to 2022.
Richarlison couldn’t resist responding when a fan posted a video of the incident.
The Brazilian forward commented: “He wants to reach 30 goals in his career, I think.”
Elliott, who has scored 22 goals in his career, with 14 of those for Liverpool in 143 appearances, is no stranger to on-field altercations, much like Richarlison.
Both players are known for their competitive edge and refusal to back down during matches.
Earlier this year, in a Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool, Richarlison had a run-in with Virgil van Dijk after the Dutch defender appeared to elbow him.
The incident led to Richarlison hitting the ground and holding his face, before getting up and shoulder-barging Van Dijk. Some Liverpool fans accused the Tottenham striker of trying to get Van Dijk sent off.
