Former Leeds winger Aaron Lennon weighed in on the situation during a TalkSPORT segment, following a debate sparked by Gabby Agbonlahor. While Agbonlahor criticized Farke’s Premier League track record—particularly during his time with Norwich—Lennon argued that context is key.
“I think it’s super harsh,” Lennon said. “He’s been up with Norwich before, and he’s shown he’s a top manager. He deserves the opportunity. He’s been fantastic this season. I’m sure he’ll get the backing he needs to bring in quality players—they’ll need strong signings, but he deserves a chance.”

Also linked is Davide Ancelotti, son and assistant of Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. Although he has yet to manage a team in his own right, he boasts experience as an assistant at several top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Everton, and Napoli.
Finally, there’s Roger Schmidt, a more experienced option who has managed PSV Eindhoven and Benfica and arguably holds the strongest resume of the trio.
