Amid these backroom developments, it’s now been revealed that Leeds are eyeing Everton striker Beto as a possible summer signing. The 27-year-old Portuguese forward joined the Toffees from Udinese for £26 million in 2023 and has since scored 10 goals in 57 Premier League appearances.
With attacking depth a concern heading into the 2025/26 season, Leeds are being linked with multiple forward targets—and Beto is among the top names.
Everton Open to Beto Exit, Leeds Keen
According to TeamTalk, Everton manager David Moyes is “open to selling” Beto, and the forward is seen as a realistic target for Leeds. The club’s impending move to the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium means financial discipline is a priority, and offloading Beto could help balance the books.
Meanwhile, Leeds reportedly have a £100 million transfer budget this summer, and a deal for Beto could consume nearly half of that, depending on Everton’s asking price.
Leeds May Have to Choose Between Beto and Parrott
Leeds’ interest in Beto comes at the same time as reports linking them to AZ Alkmaar striker Troy Parrott, with a potential price tag just over £21 million. Given the budget constraints, manager Daniel Farke may need to choose between the two, as signing both would eat up around half of the club’s spending power.
