Villa Join Race for PSG’s Lee Kang-in
According to Caught Offside, Aston Villa are one of several clubs interested in signing PSG forward Lee Kang-in, with a potential transfer fee around £37 million.
The South Korean international has also attracted attention from Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Atlético Madrid, and Napoli—all reportedly making inquiries to PSG.
Lee, who joined PSG from Valencia in July 2023 and became the club’s first-ever Korean player, is reportedly seeking more regular playing time.
Despite making 19 Ligue 1 starts this season, the 24-year-old has found himself on the fringes in Europe, remaining unused in both legs of PSG’s ties against Villa and Arsenal. His omission from key Champions League matches has fueled speculation over his future.
Sources suggest Lee has already turned down a long-term extension from PSG, signalling his openness to a move.
His role at the club has come into question amid a tactical shift in Paris and the rise of Ousmane Dembélé, who famously replaced Lee at halftime in PSG’s stunning 4-2 win over Manchester City—a moment that marked a turning point in their European campaign.
