Everton are taking full advantage of the early opening of the transfer window as they aim to strengthen their attacking options for next season. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future still uncertain, the Toffees are exploring alternative signings.
According to SportBild, via Sport Witness, Everton have entered the race to sign VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.
The 23-year-old recently made his senior debut for Germany in their loss to Portugal, following an impressive season that caught the attention of national team coach Julian Nagelsmann.
However, Everton aren’t the only club interested. Woltemade is also being tracked by Brighton, Bayern Munich, and Atlético Madrid. Despite lacking a release clause, the forward is reportedly available for around £16 million.
However, Stuttgart could demand more due to his international debut and contract running until 2028 — potentially complicating Everton’s pursuit.
Everton Also Chasing Teenage Star Cadamarteri
In addition to experienced reinforcements, Everton are targeting emerging talents. According to The Star, the club has submitted an offer for 15-year-old Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri from Sheffield Wednesday.
The reported bid is approximately £1.5 million plus add-ons. Manchester City and Chelsea have also made offers, with Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri currently negotiating with the interested parties.
Though the £1.5m valuation is broadly agreed upon, Wednesday are seeking a significant upfront payment.
City are believed to be in pole position for Cadamarteri, but the young forward has yet to signal a preference.
Known for his blistering pace, Cadamarteri has been described as “crazy” and has made a name for himself in Wednesday’s youth ranks, though he has yet to debut for the senior team.
Everton are hopeful their track record of promoting young players to the first team will appeal to Cadamarteri.
They see him as a future first-team player and are banking on providing a clear development pathway as a key factor in securing his signature.
