Norwich City Tracking SC Internacional Winger Gustavo Prado Amid European Interest
Norwich City are reportedly eyeing a move for promising SC Internacional winger Gustavo Prado, though they face stiff competition from top European clubs, according to Brazilian sources.
The 20-year-old has shown significant development at Internacional, drawing attention from several high-profile clubs. Norwich are said to be closely monitoring Prado as part of their expanding recruitment efforts in South America.
Respected Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte reports that the Canaries have “requested information” about Prado’s availability ahead of a possible summer transfer.
Portuguese side Porto and Serie A club Atalanta are also credited with an interest in the young winger, who has recently switched agencies—a move that could signal a potential transfer.
A right-footed player who prefers operating from the left flank, Prado has made 54 senior appearances for Internacional, though only 10 of those have been starts.
He has scored three goals in total. So far this season, with Internacional sitting 11th in Brazil’s top flight, Prado has featured six times and found the net once.
Norwich could be in the market for a new left-sided winger, especially with uncertainty surrounding the future of Borja Sainz. The 24-year-old is reportedly attracting bids from clubs in Serie A and Portugal, though none have yet met Norwich’s valuation.
The East Anglian club has strengthened its South American scouting network in recent years, particularly following Brexit-related changes to player recruitment rules.
Previous successful signings from the continent include Gabriel Sara and Marcelino Núñez.
