Everton Eye Move for Veteran West Ham Defender Vladimir Coufal

Everton are reportedly interested in signing experienced Czech full-back Vladimir Coufal following his departure from West Ham United.

According to TEAMtalk, Coufal is open to reuniting with former manager David Moyes at Goodison Park. Talks are yet to be finalized, but there’s optimism that an agreement could be reached soon.

The 32-year-old has been a consistent performer in the Premier League and could bring much-needed depth and experience to Everton’s right-back position. Well-adapted to English football, Coufal would likely make an immediate impact if the move materializes.

Everton are aiming to strengthen significantly this summer as they look to return to the top half of the Premier League in the 2025/26 season, following several underwhelming campaigns. Adding proven Premier League talent like Coufal fits that vision.

Having thrived under Moyes at West Ham, Coufal could find a familiar and favorable environment at Everton, where he would aim to become a key figure in the squad once again.

Given his contract situation, Coufal is expected to be available on a free transfer, making him an economical and strategic signing. Everton, who are in need of defensive reinforcements, could benefit greatly from his leadership and experience.

Fulham Also in the Race

Fulham have also shown interest in signing Coufal, recognizing the value of landing an experienced Premier League defender without a transfer fee. However, Everton may hold the edge due to Coufal’s previous working relationship with Moyes.

With the full-back opting not to renew his deal at West Ham and seeking a new challenge, both Everton and Fulham see him as a low-risk, high-value addition. A Bosman move for the Czech international could allow either club to allocate more resources to other areas of their squad.

As it stands, Coufal’s next destination remains uncertain, but Everton appear well-positioned to secure his signature.
