Manchester City are reportedly willing to accept a staggering £50 million loss on Jack Grealish, as the club looks to move on from the £100m signing just three years after his high-profile switch from Aston Villa.
Grealish, once the talismanic captain at Villa Park, has struggled to secure a consistent role under Pep Guardiola. Last season, the England international made only seven Premier League starts, finding himself on the fringes as City underwent a rare underwhelming campaign by their lofty standards.
Despite Guardiola’s public support for Grealish, actions appear to speak louder than words. He was left out of City’s Club World Cup squad and now looks surplus to requirements as the team reshapes for the future.
