Everton Targeting New Winger as £100m-Rated Star Tipped for Move
Everton are actively pursuing a new winger in the summer transfer window, with manager David Moyes eager to strengthen his wide options following Jack Harrison’s exit.
One player under consideration is RB Leipzig’s Antonio Musa, a highly rated talent who has drawn comparisons to Neymar Jr.
The 21-year-old is valued at around £38 million and has attracted interest across Europe.
Manchester City’s Jack Grealish is also on Moyes’ radar, although any move for the England international would require significant negotiation.
Now, another name has emerged: Southampton’s Tyler Dibling, a young winger who has been tipped for a move to Goodison Park.
Tyler Dibling Tipped to Join Everton Over Liverpool
Dibling is widely considered one of the brightest young wingers in English football. Former Southampton boss Russell Martin described him in glowing terms:
“He’s the most talented player I’ve ever worked with. I worked with James Maddison at that age at Norwich, and he was outstanding.
But Tyler has everything he needs to play for England and at the top level for a long time.”
Everton scouts monitored Dibling closely last season, highlighting Moyes’ interest in the 18-year-old.
Now, talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested that Everton could be a more suitable next step for Dibling than a move to a club like Liverpool.
“We were talking about Delap earlier. Dibling—can he go to an Everton or a West Ham and show what he can do for a couple of seasons? He’s too young for a big move to Liverpool right now.”
Southampton’s Valuation and Everton’s Position
According to The Telegraph, Southampton are reportedly demanding over £100 million for Dibling, with interest from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur also building. However, no club is expected to meet that price tag.
CaughtOffside reports that a bid of around £51 million could be enough to convince the recently relegated Championship side to sell, especially as they face financial pressures and need to offload assets.
That price makes a move to Goodison Park more plausible, especially with the Friedkin Group expected to back Moyes with a significant transfer budget once the club’s financial year closes later this month.
A move for Dibling would mark a major statement of intent from the new American ownership—something they are reportedly eager to demonstrate this summer.
