Everton Eyeing Callum Wilson as Key Striker Target Amid Summer Overhaul

Everton are actively exploring striker options this summer as they look to reinforce David Moyes’ squad ahead of the 2025–26 Premier League campaign.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin expected to leave Goodison Park and Armando Broja returning to Chelsea after his loan, Beto remains the club’s only senior forward.

As a result, bringing in a proven number nine has become a top priority for the Toffees.

In a bid to remain financially prudent, Everton are eyeing a potential bargain by targeting Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson, who is out of contract at the end of the month.

Callum Wilson on Everton’s Radar as Free Transfer Opportunity Emerges

According to The Sun (via GiveMeSport), Everton are keen to land Wilson on a free transfer as his future at St James’ Park hangs in the balance.

While there have been discussions over a possible contract extension, no deal has been agreed.

Wilson, who featured just 22 times last season due to recurring injuries, has attracted strong interest from several clubs.

Leeds United are reportedly keen, and there have also been murmurs linking him with West Ham.

If the 32-year-old does part ways with Newcastle, he’s likely to have multiple options to stay in the Premier League.

Should he stay fit, Wilson could prove to be a smart and effective signing for Everton, offering both experience and goal-scoring instinct.

For now, Wilson’s next destination remains uncertain—but Everton are ready to make their move.
