Internally, the club had hoped to bring in players with top-flight experience to add leadership and depth to their squad. Despite those initial plans, no Premier League veterans have signed yet, and the only attacking addition to date is Lukas Nmecha.
The 26-year-old German forward will join on a free transfer at the end of June, with Daniel Farke reportedly planning a key role for him in the upcoming season.
But Leeds aren’t stopping there. Reports suggest the club is still in the market for another centre-forward, and Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic has emerged as their primary target.
Negotiations are ongoing, with the club working to agree on personal terms with the Montenegrin striker.
Another name now entering the conversation is Dominic Calvert-Lewin. According to Mark Douglas of iPaper, Leeds have shown interest in the England international and have already made contact with his representatives.
The striker is set to become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month.
David Moyes recently commented on Calvert-Lewin’s future, suggesting that while the decision on the player’s next move ultimately rests with the striker, concerns about his fitness remain central:
“They’ll have their own thoughts about how he’s done over the years. I’ll be the one who makes the final decision, but Dom is the one who has to show us he can be robust, he can be fit to play.”

Injuries have disrupted much of Calvert-Lewin’s recent career, but his track record remains impressive. With 70 goals for Everton, the 27-year-old brings valuable Premier League experience—something Leeds have been lacking in their recent signings.
Given his pedigree and proven ability to find the net when fit, signing Calvert-Lewin could represent a smart risk for Leeds.
