If we were trying to buy him from Atletico, they’d want £100 million. So, if they can’t match his value, he’s not going anywhere.”
Wenham also emphasized the importance of Romero’s winning mentality:
“Tottenham need to do everything they can to renew his contract. Yes, he missed some games last season, but in key moments—like against Frankfurt and in the Europa League final—he showed his class. He’s a winner, and those are the players we need to keep around.”
