BREAKING: Leeds United Set to Seal £25m Signing as Selling Club Finalize Replacement

Leeds United Closing in on Another Major Signing – But It May Take Time

Leeds United appear poised to make another significant signing this summer, though this particular deal might take longer to finalize than previous ones.

The club’s first signing of the window, Lukas Nmecha, was secured swiftly. A few discussions with manager Daniel Farke were enough to convince the forward to join.

In contrast, the pursuit of defender Jaka Bijol was more prolonged, as Leeds held firm on their valuation before eventually agreeing on a £15 million fee.

Now, another transfer is nearing completion—but it may not be finalized as quickly as hoped.

Despite already bringing in Nmecha, it was made clear by sources that Leeds intended to add another centre forward before the end of the window.

Last season, Joel Piroe was supported by Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph, but this year’s attacking lineup could look significantly different.

The club has been working on a deal for Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic since last week. According to Corriere Dello Sport, the transfer is close, with Lecce already identifying a potential replacement in Basel’s Kevin Carlos—a sign that Krstovic’s departure is imminent.

The delay has largely been due to Leeds needing to persuade Krstovic to make the move to England. The 25-year-old initially expressed a strong preference to remain in Italy.

Krstovic: A High-Impact Signing

Krstovic is seen as a game-changing addition to Leeds’ frontline. Described as a “one-man attack,” he can pose a threat from almost anywhere on the pitch.

With a natural instinct for goal, he’s capable of finding space, creating high-quality chances (xG), and finishing with precision.

He’s exactly the kind of striker Leeds would benefit from—especially with aspirations of returning to the Premier League.

If the club can finalize the move, it would mark another major step forward this summer.
