Le Bris’ very own Amad: Sunderland enter talks to sign “amazing” £13m star
Sunderland’s recruitment drive is moving at lightning speed, with the club potentially fielding an almost entirely new starting XI soon.
The Black Cats have already splashed out a massive £67 million to bring in Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diarra, and Noah Sadiki.
But the spending spree is far from over — reports suggest that Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi could be the next addition, with a possible £19.5 million transfer looming on the horizon.

Latest rumors reveal manager Regis Le Bris has submitted a sizeable offer—reportedly around £26 million—for Real Madrid’s promising young talent Gonzalo Garcia.
Another target generating buzz is Armand Lauriente, with French outlet L’Equipe reporting that Sunderland have entered talks with Sassuolo to secure the services of the 26-year-old forward.
After an impressive Serie B season, Lauriente is expected to bring serious threat down the Black Cats’ left wing.
Could Lauriente Be Le Bris’ Next Amad Diallo?
If Sunderland manage to sign Lauriente, they might be landing their own version of Amad Diallo—a winger who once dazzled in Italy and caught the eye at Manchester United.
Though Amad is now better known for his exploits at Old Trafford—where he has racked up 26 goal involvements in 64 appearances—he initially made his mark at Atalanta.
His loan spell at Sunderland in 2022, under Tony Mowbray, saw him flourish with 14 goals and 4 assists in 42 matches during the 2022/23 season.
Lauriente could similarly thrive under Le Bris’ guidance. Already tested in Serie A with Sassuolo, the French winger boasts 12 goals and 12 assists at the top flight—just two goal involvements shy of Amad’s tally for Manchester United.
His explosive last season in Serie B, where he contributed 23 goals and assists in 33 games, only adds to his appeal.
Set to challenge Sunderland’s current left-wingers Enzo Le Fee and Romaine Mundle, Lauriente has the potential to become a key attacking threat on Wearside.
Le Bris and Lauriente share a history from their time together at Lorient, where Lauriente scored a stunning free-kick hailed as “amazing” by scout Jacek Kulig—further suggesting the coach could unlock the winger’s best form.
While the likes of Le Fee, Diarra, Sadiki, and Talbi will attract plenty of attention, signing Lauriente could prove to be Sunderland’s smartest move yet—possibly transforming into the kind of standout star who helps the club not only survive but thrive in the Premier League.
