“Tottenham Boss Drops Blunt Response Amid Furious Morgan Gibbs-White Twist
Tottenham Manager Thomas Frank Tight-Lipped on Morgan Gibbs-White Transfer Links
Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has declined to comment on reports linking his club with a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
Speculation around the transfer intensified last week when Spurs were said to have activated a £60 million release clause in Gibbs-White’s contract.
A medical was reportedly scheduled for Friday, but the move stalled after Forest raised concerns over what they viewed as an illegal approach for the player.
Despite the uncertainty, Gibbs-White has resumed training with his Forest teammates this week after being granted extra time off following international duty. Tottenham are reportedly still interested and are considering a renewed bid.
Speaking at his first press conference since taking over at Spurs, Frank said:
“You know me well, so I’ll stick to my usual policy—I don’t talk about players from other clubs.”
According to The Daily Mail, Spurs are weighing up a second offer, potentially around £65 million, although no formal bid has been submitted at this stage.
The report also notes it’s unclear whether that amount would be enough to convince Forest to reconsider their stance.
Gibbs-White is believed to be seeking clarity on his future before Forest travel to Portugal on Monday for their pre-season training camp. He is reportedly still interested in making the move to North London.
