Leicester City will take on Arsenal this weekend, a match that holds special significance for a couple of key players from the Foxes.

Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp, both graduates of Tottenham’s academy, are particularly eager to prove themselves against Arsenal.

In an interview with Stadium Astro, Winks shared insights about his time at Tottenham, revealing some frustrations he experienced. He mentioned that the playing styles of José Mourinho and Antonio Conte didn’t align well with his strengths, and he struggled with his confidence due to limited playing time towards the end of his Spurs career.

When asked if his confidence was at its lowest during that period, Winks acknowledged, “Yes, it was. It was difficult wanting to play regularly and not getting the minutes to show what I could do. It made it hard to perform at my best, which is why I decided to leave and seek opportunities elsewhere.”

Winks deserves recognition for his £10 million move to Leicester City. Once a Champions League finalist, he showed humility by opting for a Championship club to revitalize his career. His first season at Leicester was promising, and he aims to build on that success this year.

Having regained his confidence, Winks is eager to contribute to Leicester’s efforts for safety this season. He’ll be looking to make an impact against Arsenal as he returns to north London for the first time since leaving Spurs.
