“I Expect the Game-Changers”- Spurs Podcast Host Lilywhite Rose Urges Ange to UNLEASH the two Tottenham Hidden Gems for Europa League Debuts
John Wenham anticipates that Tyrese Hall and Alfie Dorrington will make their full debuts for Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League.
The owner of the popular Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes both players are likely to see “significant minutes” in the tournament.
Tottenham has started strong in this season’s Europa League, winning their first two matches—first against Qarabağ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 26 and then a 2-1 victory over Ferencváros at the Groupama Arena on October 3.
Given this success, Wenham told Tottenham News that Ange Postecoglou may now feel comfortable introducing some younger players in upcoming matches.
“Having won our first couple of games, I think we’ll start to see young players come into the mix,” Wenham said. “I expect Dorrington and Hall could play significant roles in the competition. They might even get full matches simply by being in the right place at the right time, which is something to look forward to.”
Postecoglou recently gave full debuts to Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear in the same competition. With Spurs in a solid position in the Europa League standings, it’s likely that other talented youngsters will also get their chance.
Hall and Dorrington appear to be at the forefront of that opportunity, especially since Dorrington recently traveled with the squad to Hungary. If Tottenham secures qualification with matches to spare, Postecoglou may even field a team comprised entirely of young players and academy prospects.
This presents a great opportunity for Under-21 and Under-18 players to elevate their performances, which many have already begun to do.
