The young winger singled out two players—Heung-min Son and James Maddison—who have played a significant role in helping him adjust to life in the first team. Moore admitted to being star-struck when he first met Son, having idolized the South Korean forward ever since he joined the academy.
Moore revealed in an interview with Tottenham’s matchday programme (10/11/24): “All the players have welcomed me. It’s a place where you have to earn respect, as there’s a lot on the line, but everyone has been great. Sonny is always helping me, and Madders too, not just with football but also with staying grounded and respectful off the pitch.
“When I first joined, I was a bit star-struck! Sonny has been an idol of mine since I arrived at the club, so to be playing alongside him now is huge. It’s still crazy to think about, but he’s been a massive help, both on and off the pitch. He’s not just a great player but also an amazing person.”
