“Seamus Coleman Sends Heartfelt Invitation to Devastated Everton Fan After Liverpool Match Postponement. Can’t believe what happened

Seamus Coleman has invited an Everton fan to Finch Farm after their match against Liverpool on Saturday was canceled.

Giulia Bould shared a video on X sent by Coleman to BBC Merseyside, where he addressed 15-year-old Everton supporter Mackenzie Kinsella, who had traveled all the way from Australia to watch the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on December 7.

Mackenzie missed the game he had saved up for and flown across the world to attend, but Coleman offered a silver lining by inviting him to a training session instead.

He said: “I know how hard you’ve worked to travel from Australia for the derby. I’m sure you were looking forward to the experience, so I can imagine how disappointed you must be. We were all excited for the game, but we’d love to see you at the training ground on Monday. Hopefully, you’ll meet some of the lads, and that might help make up for the disappointment. We can have a chat then too.”

The postponement of the derby due to Storm Darragh was a letdown for Everton fans everywhere, particularly those who traveled long distances to be there. But the chance for Mackenzie to watch a training session at Finch Farm could be an even more memorable experience, giving him the opportunity to meet the team in person.

While he may miss out on the magic of Goodison Park, meeting his heroes at Finch Farm could help ease the disappointment. With fewer opportunities to see the current Goodison before the club moves to Bramley-Moore Dock, the invitation reinforces Everton’s commitment to their fans.

In other Everton news, Jason McAteer was stunned by comments Richard Keys made regarding his allegiances on Merseyside.
