He had previously stated that Leeds made him feel more uncomfortable than any other side, especially after their 2-0 win earlier this month. Warne described the difference between the two teams as “a gulf,” praising Leeds’ high pressing and overall strength.
Following the 1-0 win at Pride Park on Sunday, Warne again acknowledged Leeds’ impressive strength in depth. Despite making four changes to the starting lineup, Leeds showed no signs of weakening. “They are the best team we have faced, the strongest and the hardest,” Warne said. “They shuffled the pack but were no weaker. That’s the squad they’ve built.”
Farke’s Tactical Decisions Ahead of Blackburn Clash
Leeds manager Daniel Farke made four changes to his starting XI for the Derby match, with Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto, Largie Ramazani, and Mateo Joseph coming in. However, it was the substitutes who made the most significant impact. Although some fans were not impressed with Ramazani’s performance, the substitutes, including Joel Piroe, Manor Solomon, and Dan James, helped turn the game in Leeds’ favor.
